Emma Penner holds both a Bachelor of Education with a focus in String Orchestra and a Bachelor of Music in Piano from the University of British Columbia. With a musical foundation rooted in the Royal Conservatory of Music, Suzuki methods, and various fiddle traditions, she has developed a well-rounded background in both piano and violin.

For ten years, Emma has shared her passion for music by teaching piano, violin, music theory, and ukulele to students of all ages and experience levels . In addition to teaching, she enjoys performing in a wide variety of musical settings. Her experience includes playing in a community orchestra for three musical theatre productions, performing with a provincial fiddle orchestra, serving as a staff member at fiddle camps, and competing provincially in both violin and piano.

As a teacher, Emma believes that every student deserves an encouraging and supportive learning environment. Whether a student is pursuing examinations, developing performance skills, or simply learning for enjoyment, she is committed to helping each individual reach their personal goals. By embracing a wide variety of musical styles and tailoring lessons to each student's interests, Emma strives to build confidence, inspire creativity, and foster a lifelong love of music.
